How much would I pay for motorcycle insurance Hawaii?
Cubert asked:
How much would it cost to insure a 500cc or less motorcycle in Hawaii for a full-time female college student with a 3.0 or better GPA who is 19 years of age and single and has one speeding ticket on her record? I would just like a ballpark range to work with so I can decide whether or not I want to buy a motorcycle for going to college and work while I'm here in Hawaii. I passed a motorcycle safety course and have my M1 license. I want to know if I could afford the insurance.

You should pay of the car. that will make your credit better. You may want to look up hawaiian newspapers and see if you can find a used vehicle in Hawaii at a discount. I know you are young and a new bike seems fun, but Hawaiian weather isn'talwayss perfect, you will need a car to carry your books and etc to and from school when it is thunder and rain outside. Ask your dad if you pay for your old car and give it to him will he co-sign for a new ride. Maybe you can pick one up in San francisco on a long stop over and have it shipped. If you insist on a bike because you a a young rebel and you gotta have one, get a used one for maybe 2k and have dad check it out. That way instead of a 7k car note you will have a 2k bike note.
Really depends but probably not much for that, insurance gets expensive when its a sportbike more than 600cc usually. Try these guys, its who I use and they're pretty cheap and have good service.

It's not a matter of the operator being insured. It is the vehicle, in this case a Motorcycle, which must be insured.
Failure to provide proof of that insurance on the spot, when requested by Law Enforcement, is a ticketable offense.
So, yes, you are responsible for the ticket. It won't get written off. And, failure to either pay the fine or appear in court to contest the charge (and pay the fine after the Judge rules against you) will definitely hurt you.
