More and more common, unfortunately. Everyone says people have felt this way forever, but I really feel our society is declining. Everything is self-absorbed. I was reflecting the other day that if rules/laws aren’t aggressively enforced, many people will break those rules/laws. An internal sense of duty and logic don’t reign them in – only the threat of getting in trouble does. Of course, for some people even that doesn’t work.

If you're drawing realistic portraits, don't worry a lot about symmetry. No human face is entirely symmetrical. Also, every face is proportioned differently, so there's no exact proportion for the face. My best advice is to take your time and draw what you see, not what you think should be there.
