yes the single or twin are the same some people cal Them single some say twin. Full is bigger than twin but same length. both are good for children depending on the size of your room but for an adult you would want a twin extra long, queen or king because they are longer not by two much but it makes a big difference. by the way the twin extra long is basically used for dorm rooms
